Our Services Dental Implants: Permanent Solutions for Missing Teeth

At Park Dental Care, we believe everyone deserves a full, healthy smile. Our dental implant services offer a state-of-the-art solution for replacing missing teeth. Whether you've lost teeth due to injury, disease, or decay, dental implants can provide a durable, long-lasting alternative to bridges or dentures.

Understanding Dental Implants

Dental implants are titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone beneath the gum line. This post functions as a tooth root and allows us to mount replacement teeth or a bridge into that area. Implants offer stability because they fuse to your jawbone, providing a permanent base for fixed (permanent) or removable replacement teeth.

Benefits of Dental Implants

  • Natural Look and Feel: Implants are designed to look, feel, and function like your natural teeth.

  • Improved Speech and Comfort: Unlike poorly fitted dentures, implants stay firmly in place and do not cause discomfort.

  • Enhanced Oral Health: Unlike a tooth-supported bridge, dental implants don't require reducing other teeth. More of your own teeth are left intact, improving long-term oral health.

  • Durability: Implants are very durable and will last many years. With good care, many implants last a lifetime.

  • Convenience: Implants eliminate the embarrassing inconvenience of removing dentures and the need for messy adhesives to keep them in place.

Our Implant Services

Implant Consultation and Planning

We start with a comprehensive evaluation of your oral and overall health. Using advanced imaging techniques, we assess your bone density and quantity to ensure that your jaw can support the implants.

Implant Surgery

The implant procedure is performed under local anesthesia and, if needed, sedation. The titanium post is placed into the bone socket of the missing tooth. As the jawbone heals, it grows around the implanted metal post, anchoring it securely in the jaw. The healing process can take from six to 12 weeks.

Abutment Placement

Once the implant has bonded to the jawbone, a small connector post — called an abutment — is attached to the post securely to hold the new tooth.

Custom Crown Fabrication

After your gums heal, we make impressions of your teeth and create a model of your bite (which captures all of your teeth, their type, and arrangement). The new tooth or teeth are based on this model. A replacement tooth, called a crown, is then attached to the abutment.

Caring for Your Implants

Caring for dental implants is similar to caring for your natural teeth, involving brushing, flossing, and regular dental check-ups. We provide detailed guidance on how to care for your implants to ensure their longevity.
